Our Work

The Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect has established itself as the leading authority on the Responsibility to Protect (R2P) and since its inception in 2008 has led efforts to broaden and deepen global support for the norm.

Through timely and authoritative publications like the R2P Monitor, strategic policy initiatives such as the Global Network of R2P Focal Points, and advocacy with the UN and its member states in New York and Geneva, the Global Centre advances the implementation of R2P.

Advocacy at the United Nations
Building support amongst policy makers lies at the core of the Global Centre efforts. Central to that work is engagement with United Nations member states through their missions in New York and Geneva, as well as with the United Nations system more broadly.
