Resolution
On 23 March 2018 the UN Human Rights Council passed Resolution 37/28 on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). The resolution extends the mandate of the Special Rapporteur for a period of one year and requests the Office of the High Commissioner to report on its follow up efforts in the regular annual report of the Secretary-General. The resolution also “recalls the responsibility of the DPRK to protect its population from crimes against humanity” and was adopted without a vote.
